WHO IS TRUDY?

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

My journey started in July 2021 with a single, life-changing moment, I saw a photo of myself and didn’t recognize the person looking back. I felt disconnected from my body, low on energy, and ready for change. I remembered trying DDP Yoga back in 2018 but never truly committing. This time, I promised myself one month.

One month turned into daily practice. The workouts were low-impact but powerful, and slowly my clothes felt looser, my energy grew, and I started feeling better in my own skin. Over time, I lost 73 lbs, gained strength I never thought possible, and rediscovered my confidence.

DDP Yoga didn’t just change my body, it changed my life. It gave me strength when I felt weak, clarity when I felt stuck, and the confidence to believe that real transformation is possible at any age.

I teach because I know what it’s like to feel frustrated with your body, to live with aches and stiffness, and to wonder if it’s too late to start again. It’s not. My mission with Fit Past Forty is to help real people, regardless of age, size, or flexibility, build strength, improve mobility, and reclaim their energy.

Every class I lead is inclusive, empowering, and grounded in the belief that movement should make you feel good, not intimidated. This isn’t about perfect poses; it’s about progress, confidence, and living life with strength and purpose.

WHY I TEACH

This is not another "lose weight" program, it's a way of reconnecting with yourself (your core) through yoga with dynamic resistance, by involving all your muscles and raising your heart rate to achieve an optimal heart rate for Fat Burn Zone.

These pictures are proof that this program works. What started as a "want to lose weight", transformed my life. Nothing else worked until I committed myself to working out once a day with DDP yoga.
